The dark and sumptuous side of the twenties on the blog today with this alternative 1920’s wedding inspiration, with the most amazing celestial blue wedding cake, sleek satin gowns and eclectic vintage table displays. Here we catch up with some of the team behind the shoot to find out how they created this alternative 1920’s wedding…
Alternative 1920’s Wedding Inspiration with Celestial Blue Wedding Cake
Styling – Coco Vintage Collection
“In this 20’s shoot I worked hard on trying to create an intimate sumptuous vibe, with quirky touches such as the velvet moon prop. The top table is set with a great feast fit for queens on a long table to create a grand spectacle, with the floral arrangements and wedding cake! The bar was dressed with warm candles and velvet drapes to keep the intimacy going from the grand hall.”
Stationery – Hawthorne & Ivory
“You and your partner will spend so much time choosing your colours or your theme and making sure everything is beautiful and so personal to you both. I really think that a lovely bit of stationery can be the cherry on top of a perfect wedding day. Stationery doesn’t end with your invitations, so why not finish it all off with a gorgeous order of service, a stylish table plan or place cards and menus at your table setting.”
“A good stationer can carry your theme through all of those bits and pieces and whatever else you can think of! Those smaller details are often what rounds out your styling and makes everything look perfect with that beautifully considered finishing touch.”
Hair and Make up – Jen Eachus Bridal Hair & Makeup Artist
“For hair and makeup I wanted to create some looks which would reflect the art nouveau period but with a modern twist. We created natural glowy makeup looks to enhance the skin but with a statement lip, to bring in that vintage vibe. Heidi’s accessories worked beautifully in the hair and added an extra bit of sparkle!”
Bouquets – Maddison Rocks Floral Sculpture
“Your wedding bouquet should be a reflection of your theme, colour scheme and most importantly your and your future husbands personality. Don’t be afraid to to think out side the box when it comes to your wedding day as this is a moment in your life that you’re going to remember forever.
“All of the bouquets I create have the option to include illumination, personalisation and concealed music boxes to name but a few (and yes you heard that right) so the possibilities of what can be created is as endless as your imagination.”
