Relaxed boho vibes today, for this sail tent outdoor wedding inspiration at The Quill. It’s a brand new blank canvas wedding venue in the heart of the Kent countryside, and blank canvas means one thing, whatever your theme, you can make it yours. With warm pinks and natural greens with a hint of gold it’s the perfect colour theme for a relaxed boho feel. Here we catch up with the team behind the shoot, who are all on the recommended suppliers list for the venue, to tell us how the shoot was created and have some top tips along the way for creating your own vision for the big day…
“Together with a group of recommended suppliers for The Quill, we put together this boho themed styled shoot to showcase what a wedding at this brand new venue could look like. The boho theme was perfect for this outdoor venue, bringing warm pink hues to compliment the natural greens at the venue and adding lots of vintage rugs and cushions to create a relaxing vibe. We used a range of wooden arches adorned with florals and macrame that were perfect backdrops for the ceremony area and to frame that stunning view over the Kent countryside.”
“When starting to think about themes for your big day it’s always good to set up a wedding Pinterest page or save pictures you’ve been inspired by on Instagram. This will start to build up an evolving picture of your wedding style. Search for wedding suppliers in your local area and chat to them about your wedding plans. Getting to know them and bouncing ideas off each other, will help to inspire you and create a wedding that is unique to you. Most suppliers you will chat to would love to use their creative spirit, so find a small business that is as passionate about your wedding ideas as you are. Your wedding is a celebration of you both as a couple, add little touches to your day to reflect what’s important to you.”
“Passing through an apple orchard, you arrive at the stunning Meadow. Surrounded by woodland on one side and a breath taking view on the other, it is a perfect blank canvas wedding venue. A beautiful sail cloth tent is ready to be decorated to any style and there are options for glamping onsite too. The venue is for exclusive use only and has a dedicated wedding planner available to coordinate on the day. Under the current restrictions, this is a wonderful setting for a smaller wedding where you can create memories and celebrate safely.”
“The wedding arches really created the look for this shoot. Find a local wedding prop company or ask a carpenter to create the wooden frame for your florist to add floral sprays with big impact. Search for a photographer who’s style you love. Tom Cullen Photography created these gorgeous natural shots that really show the emotions of this couple. He captured all the details too creating beautiful memories of the day.”
“This Maggie Sottoro gown suited our bride beautifully. With added intricate gold detail in her handcrafted tiara and earrings, the look was complete. Our bride’s hair and makeup was styled beautifully to enhance her natural beauty, with dramatic eye make up.”
“The venue florals were beautiful statement pieces to fill the space with colour and seasonal scents. These were complimented by a more intricate buttonhole and bouquet to suit the couple’s styling. The cakes on the day were both new designs. With delicate textured buttercream adding detail to the layers, or intricate crafted sugar flowers, you can chose your favourite style from our 2 wedding cakes.”
“The sail cloth tent was provided for the event complete with dance floor. We had 2 mobile bars at the shoot, including a horse box bar, creating their delicious signature cocktail recipes using fresh ingredients. A wedding singer entertained everyone and created a lovely atmosphere to the venue and a videographer captured the shoot including some drone footage.”
“The invitations and stationery was created especially to the colour scheme of this boho shoot and sat perfectly with the bespoke table design which included the place settings with vintage glasses, and unique golden feathers tied to the cutlery fitting with the shoot theme.”
