A high school romance started Arjun and Lucy’s love story and the importance of combining both of their English and Indian traditions made for a beautiful two-day multicultural wedding with lots of dreamy details entwined. They tied the knot at St Stephen’s Church, West Ealing, London on day one and continued the celebrations on day two at Loft Studios, Kensal Green, London. Lucy tells us all about their wedding extravaganza, and how they created their modern yet traditional wedding!
How Did You Meet?
“We both first met at school – Arjun joined the 6th form at the high school that I was already at. We hit it off pretty quickly, flirty for about two years and then decided to make it official at Prom, just before we went off to University.”
The Proposal
“11 years later… on holiday in the north of Montenegro, as the sunset after a day of white water rafting, Arjun lead me down to a romantic secluded area by the Piva River where he had laid out 100’s of tea lights and a bottle of red wine and finally got down on one knee to propose!”
Planning the Wedding
“The aim was to fuse both our English and Indian traditions, including both a Church ceremony and a Hindu ceremony. We knew we wanted to keep it local to where we grew up in West London and although tradition was important to us, we wanted also to give it a modern, fresh colourful feel and throw a big party for all our friends and family!”

The Best Part of the Day
“The dinner and speeches were great but we would definitely say we had one of the best parties ever! We finally got to let loose and show everyone how much we love each other and celebrate what we had just achieved!”
Words of Wisdom
“Have a 2-day wedding (more if can!) – you get to spend even more time with the people you love!”
