We are going overseas today for this chic French picnic wedding at Château Saint Georges, Grasse! It’s the perfect spring inspiration for your outdoor destination wedding! Relaxed, laid back but “oh so chic”; it’s full of beautiful details and lots of ideas for your wedding day, and we love the idea of a picnic wedding breakfast on the grass, with the most beautiful backdrop. Here we catch up with shoot photographer and coordinator Stephanie Upparin of Evidence Capture who tells us all about it…
“We let ourselves be inspired by famous painting “Le déjeuner sur l’herbe”, obviously modernised, and I wanted to create a very French atmosphere with the elegance of yesteryear while bringing a natural and modern touch. A wedding around a chic picnic in the garden of a castle was perfect”
“I used dried flowers on this shoot to create a link between the old and the modern and add that touch of nature that I like to keep in my images.”
“The couple also had a nice surprise that the guests did not expect. The bride was pregnant and wanted to take advantage of the photos to announce her loved ones and make them a nice photo announcement.”
Make Up – Amandine Poisson
“This collaboration brought together talented artists with whom I loved working on this chic country shooting made on the French Riviera. The natural and delicate makeup was thought to harmonise and fit with the bride’s romantic style. For a perfect beauty look, it is essential to keep this vision of osmosis and harmony between makeup, hairstyle, dress, jewellery and wedding style.”
French photographer Stephanie Upparin of Evidence Capture also shares with us some advice on choosing your photographer for the big day…
“I would advise the bride and groom to take the time to discover the work of the photographer they have identified, their style, their universe. Follow them for a while on the networks and consult the recommendations”
“The bride and groom must ensure that the photographer will meet their expectations – photo style, meeting, location, professional equipment, good relationship with the guests, dynamism, discretion, benevolence … Once this choice is made, it’s ready to go a real teamwork between the photographer and her newlyweds to have the most beautiful photos of this wonderful day.”
“The photographer must have an advisory role with their future bride and groom. They are professional and have the experience of organising weddings and the experience of the best exhibitions for lights, places to take the most beautiful photos”
