From a German university to a forest, through a language barrier and to the Italian coastline, this magazine-worthy, modern Italian wedding is so dreamy! With its model like bride and groom, its beautiful Italian backdrops and amazing photography you can see why we just had to feature it! We hear from Anastasia, who tells us all about her and Vlad’s love story…
How Did You Meet?
We studied together at a German university but never saw each other, we eventually met at a chance meeting between mutual friends on a trip to the forest. After an awkward language barrier situation, we decided it best to talk in English and the rest as they say is history!
The Proposal
On one of our travels, we went to the Canary Islands amongst very beautiful views on a mountain peak he knelt down on one knee, he’d prepared and learnt a huge touching speech in Russian, it was a very touching moment!
The Details
We started preparing for the wedding a year before the date, I was quite particular about the photography and I wanted it light and airy and was determined to find the right style. The whole wedding was based around a fine art style which I love!
I always wanted my wedding in Italy, in a cosy villa with the circle of people closest to us. I love Italian cuisine, the olive gardens, the music, the impeccable climate and of course the great wine. We looked through all the Italian villas in Tuscany, Umbria and near Florence. All wedding agencies offered the same thing, but we wanted something special … Therefore, we ourselves went in search of a venue for our wedding. We chose the beautiful Villa Palagina and it was small intimate and with a pool and a beautiful view it was perfect! I realized that it was exactly the place where we wanted our wedding to be.
My dress was from Belarus RaraAvis Group, I just fell in love with these dresses they had a huge number of different styles with lace, light and airy, and perfect for the vibe I wanted! I got so many compliments on the dress!
I wanted a real Italian feel so a traditional Italian cake was a must. I really wanted a minimalist, simple style, with white flowers, good food and great wine, and to be surrounded by closest family and friends.
The Best Part of the Day
The best part of the day for me was the wedding ceremony in the garden of the villa when my dad walked me into the ceremony, and my husband was waiting for me with my loved ones. It was so exciting, and these emotions I will remember for a lifetime. We were crowned by our priest, a friend of the family. Everything went according to all the traditions of the Christian church.
Words of Wisdom
Relax during the wedding and enjoy your prosecco.
