11.00 am – Registration, Look around the venue, and meet our suppliers
11.30 am – Workshop: Make Your Own Buttonhole And Corsage With Flower Hamlet
Subhra from Flower Hamlet trained specifically in sustainable floristry and sources her flowers from local, regenerative growers. Come along to this workshop and have fun creating a buttonhole or corsage as you learn floristry techniques and more about the various flowers you’re using. Plus, find out more about the choices that can be made with respect to your wedding flowers that can help make them more sustainable.
12:00 pm – Talk: What Makes A Sustainable Wedding Supplier With The Ecology Pavilion, Flower Hamlet And Slow Bridal
The Pavilions in Mile End Park are set in an idyllic location and offer two modern venues with a focus on ecology and sustainability. Pavilions Manager, Gary Horsman, will be providing insight into what makes a sustainable wedding venue alongside our other panel members, Palash, from Flower Hamlet, and Tiffany, from Slow Bridal. The panel will discuss sustainability within their own particular niches. They’ll also suggest questions that you can ask during your wedding planning to ensure that your venue, floristry, and bridalwear are as sustainable as possible.
12:30 pm – Workshop: Have Fun Writing Vows That Wow With Say It Right Ceremonies
You know how you feel about your beloved but how can you turn those feelings into vows that effectively convey your love? Let Tab Taylor from Say It Right Ceremonies guide you through a fun workshop where the word game Mad Libs will help you turn your thoughts and feelings into beautiful words for your wedding ceremony. Hell-bent on throwing out the rule book and making something truly unique and special, Tabs is committed to crafting a ceremony that genuinely reflects the essence of who you and your people are.
13:00 pm – Talk: Traditions And How To Ditch Them Respectfully With Akilah & Co
With Akilah & Co believes that you and your partner are unique and that your wedding should reflect that. Planning a wedding can become stressful, but it needn’t be that way! Keeping everyone happy whilst retaining your own values and vision isn’t easy. Akilah will discuss ideas for creating your own traditions. Discover how to make decisions and communicate them to family members whether you’re honouring cultural traditions or ditching them!
