With bold colours, a Vivienne Westwood suit, and even a Samba dance lesson, their day was a stylish celebration of love and resilience…
“From the moment I met Kate and Dave, I could feel the depth of their connection, a love story built on years of friendship, shared passions, and an undeniable sense of fun. Their journey to their wedding day was as unique as their personalities. Having first met while working at the same organisation (with Dave even being Kate’s boss at one point!), it took 15 years for their friendship to blossom into the romance we celebrated on their wedding day.”
“Their proposal story was just as beautiful. Dave chose the wild, rugged beauty of Debdon Moor in Northumberland, a place close to both their hearts, as the setting for his diamonds and champagne proposal.”
“Fast-forward to their wedding, and it was clear this wouldn’t be your typical celebration. The day was a triumph of love and resilience, especially given the challenges of COVID-19, which forced multiple postponements. With the pandemic still fresh in everyone’s minds and Kate and Dave recovering from illness just weeks prior, their calm, relaxed approach to the day was nothing short of inspiring.”
“Their autumn theme was brought to life with a stunning palette of reds, greens, and blues, woven into every detail. Kate looked incredible in her red, green, and blue Vivienne Westwood checked trouser suit, an outfit that was perfect for her bold, individual style. Her bridesmaid, Merry, complemented the look in a blue Self Portrait maxi dress, while Dave tied the theme together in a tailored olive-green suit from Reiss. Even the flowers and table arrangements complemented the autumnal palette, with crowns for Kate and Merry adding a whimsical touch.
“One of the most memorable parts of the day was the Samba dance lesson Kate and Dave organised they wanted more than just an afternoon of traditional dining and it was perfect! Ariel, the teacher was excellent fun and an enthusiastic coach who secured the commitment of all the guests ranging from a 2 to 80 year old. Watching guests was pure entertainment and made for some unforgettable photos!”
“For Kate and Dave, the ceremony, which they initially thought would just be a formality, became the highlight of the day. Their vows, the heartfelt delivery from the registrars, and the appearance of Bella, the couple’s 2-year-old granddaughter, at key bits of the ceremony made it an emotional celebration of love
