Today’s styled shoot comes from some of our favourite suppliers in the North of England. I love the blush and copper tones of the whole shoot; which bring a sense of romance to the look. The photographer is Katy Lunsford whose style is perfect for it as she has captured the model and the styling beautifully – adding to the romantic feel. The accessories are by Silver Sixpence In Her Shoe, and the owner and designer, Nicola shares her thoughts on the shoot.
“The aim of the shoot was to showcase some of our new products and collaborate with some local suppliers who are expert in their fields! I met Jennie from Liberty Lane at a couple of wedding fairs I did including the Magpie Wedding Show and totally loved her work- it’s so stylish. I knew Katy would be keen to shoot her work too!”
“I had already produced some rose gold and antique gold toned pieces I wanted photographed so they drove the brief. They were botanical inspired and a little wild so the environment around us that day was really complimentary. Jennie took from the tones of the pieces and brought in the awesome coral coloured flowers and the copper toned terrariums. The White Closet dresses were leafy patterned tulle and blush silk so the tones really complimented the rose gold influence too.”
“It was shot at Holmfirth Vineyard – it’s a favourite shoot location for us and we wanted to try a different time of year there- the result was pretty windswept and wild!”
“Katy shot on film which was one of our main reasons for the shoot was we wanted to try a shoot like this. It really works with the wild landscape”
“Jennie really nailed it with the terrariums and the coral toned flowers. She utilised Pampas grass amazingly well and that really became a centre piece bouquet for the shoot. I had asked for a couple of large wild and foraged looking bouquets and that was exactly what she did!”
“We styled the table between us- the ash grey tones of the outdoor wooden tables complimented our choice of antique gold, copper and blush wedding tableware amazingly well- with a touch of grey in the napkins too. It felt elegant but natural.”
“Rachael (hair and makeup) was recommended to me by another make up artist. She did a great job interpreting a rosy cheek and lip with flowing waves and the half bun up do is my absolute fave! A sleek low ponytail with a twist looked great too with the sleeker slip dress”
