Every month we send out a Wedding Content Calendar for free – all you have to do is sign up for our mailing list. It has all the National Awareness Days and events that you could use as a springboard for your content on social media, blogging and pitching to the press. Want to know how to use these for your marketing? We wrote a blog called How to use national awareness days for your content creation which will help get you started.
Here are 6 ideas for content that you can use in July:
PLASTIC FREE JULY (all month)
Consider what you do to reduce your plastic as part of your business or packaging for products and share this across the month. If you are an eco-wedding business share tips so other business owners can do the same. Consider also creating advice for couples to reduce their single-use plastic usage at their wedding.
INTERNATIONAL KISSING DAY (6th)
You could simply share a photo of the first kiss at a wedding – perfect if you’re a wedding photographer. You could also tie this in with lipstick day on the 29th and talk about how to keep your lippy intact after all the kissing on the day!
NATIONAL MOJITO DAY (11th)
Share your favourite cocktail recipes today but don’t forget the mocktails too. You could create a post containing welcome drink ideas or how to make your own signature cocktail for your wedding day.
EMBRACE YOUR GEEKNESS DAY (13th)
This one is perfect for alternative couples; share any geeky wedding that you’ve worked on. Think Star Wars, Harry Potter, Lego…the list is endless. Haven’t worked on a geeky wedding but would like to? How about reposting another wedding to show your audience that this is your vibe? Just remember to credit everyone involved.
NATIONAL PARENT’S DAY (23rd)
Create a post thanking your parents for their support or focus on the couple’s parents instead. You could create a gift ideas post, how to include them in the wedding or speech advice. You could also flip the narrative and offer advice for when parents get too involved!
NATIONAL LIPSTICK DAY (29th)
If you are a makeup or beauty business share your favourite lipsticks today. However, don’t forget you can simply ask a question to drive engagement such as “Do you wear makeup to work?” or “Do you think it is more professional to wear makeup to work?”. You can also share bridal tips on choosing your lipstick to match your look or even how to keep your lips looking fabulous all day.
