A Disney princess and a ragged beast for today’s styled shoot with the perfect fairytale wedding at Dartmouth House. With direct references and scenes to the classic Beauty and the Beast film, this shoot takes us all back to childhood with this styled wedding inspiration full of style, poise and wonder. Here we catch up with the photographer Nina of Nina Pang Photography and the rest of the team behind this Darmouth House Disney princess shoot…
“The concept of this photoshoot was inspired by the fairy tale of Beauty and the Beast, one of the stories that planners Kayleigh and Valentina remember most fondly from their childhood. The aim was to imagine how these characters might celebrate their wedding in modern day London, with playful nods to the original details.”
“The decor of Dartmouth House is ornate, with stunning textures, elegant paintings, and rich fabrics – perfectly embodying the visuals of Baroque architecture and fashion. We chose a colour palette of rich reds, moody midnight blues, and sparkling gold accents, all beautifully echoed in the luxurious stationery by Wonderland Invites.”
“The tablescape glitters with magical details, from the gilded tableware by Beatrice Ambery to imposing candelabras – so graceful and poised that one might imagine them breaking into song at any moment! The enchanted red rose that we know and love makes an appearance in a magnificent cake by Malarkey Cakes, in a delicate ring by Couture Kingdom, and in the luscious floral installations by Floral Evolution. The use of winter foliage, full bloomed roses added a luxurious feel to the wonderful setting, and the use of seasonal flowers making a standout oversized bouquet added to the splendour and occasion of this wonderful setting.”
“The bride wears bespoke gowns by Audrey Ashley Couture, fit for the most regal of ballrooms, alongside exquisite headpieces by Hermione Harbutt and an intricate floral veil by McFayden Millinery. The team came together with a shared passion for storytelling, and we hope this inspires couples to interpret wedding traditions in the way is most exciting to them.”
The inspiration behind this styled shoot screamed, opulence, deep rich tones with lots of texture. Nina Pang Photography has gone for a darker edit to create the mystery feeling just like the Beauty & The Beast tale.
