Eclectic Wedding Inspiration At Hinwick Hall Northamptonshire

An eclectic mix of autumn vibes and colour pop styling for today’s inspirational shoot at Hinwick Hall, Northamptonshire featuring not one, but two beautiful couples with two different looks, showing just how versatile and eclectic vibe on your big day can be! Photographer duo Kristen of Kristen Kate Photography and Amy of Amy Cutliffe Photography created and photographed this beautiful laid back luxe shoot, that’s full of ideas and inspiration, and today some top tips along the way on what to do when styling your own big day!

“This shoot was born out of a love for everything autumnal, Kristen hadn’t seen a styled shoot that included all the colours that just seem to naturally come to mind when thinking about autumn. Many shoots for this time of year seem to include deep reds but then it seems to veer off into beige or pinks played with it, however Kristen didn’t want to shy away from the bright oranges and yellow also associated with this time of year, and so sparking the idea that became pumpkin spice!”

“The key to making your dream a reality is, planning your tones and colours within the same family and hiring an amazing stylist. For the average bride many things about creating a vision are new and so it can really make the world of difference bringing in someone who has a natural eye and can guide you in the right direction, hey that’s why we had the amazing Kelly (all things pretty weddings) with us for our shoot and we couldn’t have done it without her!”

“Hinwick hall is a Manor House very close to where Amy lives, they are currently renovating the home and therefore have some older areas in the home/estate and some newer areas! We knew this was the perfect backdrop for our ‘Pumpkin Spice shoot’ and were so grateful we they agreed to come onboard. This venue would work really well for couples who want the country house look for their wedding but something less polished and malleable to them as a couple. With this venue there’s a lot more room to really play and create something really unique.”

“The venue was perfect for me to create a setting that drew its inspiration from its environment, whilst being soft, magical and romantic. Pumpkins were of course the order of the day and were used throughout to set the mood. We used deep tones for our colour palette, using dark blues, reds and soft oranges, then added splashes of gold to enhance and bring in a luxurious autumnal atmosphere to the setting.”

“I drew inspiration for the main tablescape from my love to re-purpose where I can. I rescued the two unloved wheel back chairs, and accompanied them with a disused cable reel which fit perfectly for an intimate table for two. Nestled in the greenhouse of Hinwick House, it sits framed by dark blue draping, under a floating foliage chandelier created by Ember Flowers in an array of autumnal colours, giving it the perfect setting. I opted for an array of tealights and golden candlesticks with pearlescent candles nestled within foliage, and dark blue linens, contrasting against the wood, adding texture.”
