Plus it includes real life model couple Jules and Mark who are due to tie the knot at this ethical venue this year! We hear from the creative direction behind the shoot, stylist and shoot coordinator Beth Atton de Sa of ALT Events Co…
Inspiration
“Plattfields Market Garden is host to my upcoming alternative/indie Wedding Fair, and also Jules and Marks ceremony next year. We wanted to tie together all the components and really highlight the couple, in this wonderful venue. It’s a beautiful, organic space within the concrete jungle of the city. Jules and Mark are so in love, and you can see this really shine through in the photography. It’s a nice look into what their ceremony will look like next June. The Garden and the couple both triumph sustainability, eco-friendliness and keeping things local. The couple live a stones throw away, and the bohemian vibe just works perfectly.”
The Venue
“Platt Fields Market Garden is DIY, boho city venue. It’s budget space, with an hourly rate of £250 and it’s perfect for couples wanting to create something with a semi-blank canvas for their wedding day. The on-site florist Lulu can create your bouquet for you, and decorate the space if required too. They also supply canapes using their organic, freshly grown produce. It’s a great space to have your ceremony or reception!”

The Details
To create this boho look for your engagement shoot or wedding day there are a few details that are a must. Think natural, dewy makeup in pink tones and minimalistic hair. Choose a co-ord set instead of a dress and pair it with bohemian looking accessories. For both your engagement shoot outfit and wedding outfit the most important thing is being comfortable, you’ll be in it all day. Shop for your figure and you’re colouring also.”
“For the flowers we wanted a wild look with lots of green, they were handpicked from the market garden, grown by Lulu of Companion Flower Studio, natural, seasonal flowers are always best if you are trying to keep your wedding day as ethical as possible. To keep the ethical values running through your day go solely online with your wedding stationery and don’t have a table plan! If this is not to your preference then make sure you use eco paper, and seed paper, to keep it sustainable.”
“The cake needed to complement the vibe of the shoot so texture was so important, we wanted something lace-like, light and pink, and something that blended with Jules and her outfits well. Match the bouquet to the cake on your wedding day and you’re good to go.”
