Neon Wedding Inspiration with Modern Retro Styling
“We wanted to incorporate as much lighting as possible! With the amazing venue décor we used clear furnishing to encapsulate the lights and in turn highlight the romantic feeling of this unique venue. The Stunning flowers were a perfect match to our selected colour scheme and blending effortlessly with our styling.”
“An Mor, perhaps the most inspired and spectacularly British hotel in this great land of hope and glory, with its very own gin bar. A place defined by our bamboozling cornucopia of English icons, of fading myths and of coveted curiosities that are the very definition of cool. Around every corner and tucked into every tiny, little nook and cranny is yet another delight or sparkling rock’n’roll gem, guaranteed to conjure admiring sighs or wistful chuckles. Beyond all the luxury, you can become utterly mesmerized by the swashbuckling magnificence of the Atlantic Ocean, tumbling and soaring as far as the eye can see from most rooms in the house. This is not a hotel that does thrills by the half measure. This is the An Mor Hotel. It is breathtakingly British and unique to this green and pleasant land.”
Neon Wedding Styling – Do me a Favour UK
“This look can be achieved by using select key neon signage then adding colourful LED lighting to compliment them. Transparent props are essential in highlighting areas such as floral displays and sweet tables and table plans. We used a combination of plinths and cylinder cases to achieve this feel.”
“Iridescent Cloths gave an added dimension reflecting light and giving texture to the tables. We would definitely recommend starting with your colour palette, then choose the area’s you want to draw attention to like backdrops and guest tables build these up combining neon signs and led lighting adding colourful plates and cutlery or glassware. The look is so adaptable from romantic elopements to alternative evening rock and roll celebrations this one is definitely limitless of possibilities!”
Neon Wedding Styling – Dream Styling By Jacqueline
“Using a mixture of textures and shapes to reflect and absorb the light was essential to compliment the Neon Theme. With a combination of reef shaped and circular decorative rose gold charger plates, alongside intricate coloured cut glass vases of varying sizes and shapes, beautiful prisms and reflections of table lighting were created.”
“My advice for any couple is to be inspired by what is already in situ and don’t be afraid to mix! Mix the shapes, the colours and the layout so that there is always something new and interesting to catch the eye. Add personalised touches that are not predictable, like the hot pink feathers I placed within each napkin, and play with it, for instance the sequin table clothes in this shoot were raised and ruffled rather than sequin flat to further compliment the decorative lighting. It’s touches such as these that will bring true delight to your day!”
Neon Wedding Photography – Free From Images
“My style of photography is usually, natural light, creative and emotive. I wanted to push myself out of my comfort zone and use the dark and light. The colours of the décor and neon just zing, bold and bright. I didn’t use flash at all and used the light only from the hotel into the evening. I really was excited to capture a Rock and roll style shoot and just love neon. This shoot really enabled me to be creative. The suppliers made it easy for me and they are a dream to work with and Lunar Don Lou was the perfect model.”
Neon Wedding Bridal – Always and Forever Bridal
“The extravagantly beaded bodice paves the way to perfection! This long sleeve ball gown by Casablanca Bridal is a bona fide show stopper, the dramatically sleek satin skirt reflecting light and cascading effortlessly from the natural waistline. This jaw-dropping gown provides a removable lining option, for the most opulent and versatile wedding day look.”
“The second gown has glittering rhinestones that create lines throughout. “Bria” from the belt at the waist, to the V-shaped linings of the front, back and underarm panels of the bodice and lace applique’s sprinkle across the hemline of the dreamy soft tulle skirt, matching the lace on the fully lined front and illusion back of the bodice, again by Casablanca Bridal.”
Neon Wedding Custom Leather Jacket – Sammy Lea’s Retro Emporium
“The neon light trends looks set to take the wedding market by storm in 2019, it’s already very much in evidence with neon backdrops starting to become very popular. Sam commented ” We always look to push the boundaries of what we can make available to brides, and are very much led by what’s happening outside the wedding industry, in the alternative market (because we feel new trends start niche and grow in popularity). The new style neon jackets are the next logical step on from the custom painted jackets we’ve seen in previous years – beautifully painted by day, and a glowing statement piece by night.”
Neon Wedding Accessories – Hey Jules
“The bridal accessories give a nod to that rock chick look, whilst still remaining ‘bridal’. The dark leaf hair comb gave the perfect backdrop to sparkling Swarovski set crystals, small ivory pearls and a few deep pink crystals to add that neon glow. I love the positioning of the comb and how well it complements the hairstyle and bridal make up created. The cuff was designed to echo the organic leaf patterns in the dress and bring out those deeper colours that tie the jacket, headpiece and shoes altogether, again with that touch of pink to make it pop.”
Neon Wedding Hair – Marie Hair
“I took part in this creative shoot because it was an opportunity to be more creative than the modern boho looks I’m more renowned for. An Mor holds a special places in my heart as it was my wedding venue two years ago (how could I say no)! The model had electric Pillar box red hair so was perfect to really create and highlight a rock and roll, modern style bride look. My aim when doing shoots is to ensure I create, and compliment the style vision being created my the team.”
Neon Wedding Florals – Petal and Posie
“The flowers needed to reflect the eclectic styling of An Mor and fit with the Neon Dreams theme of the shoot, so I chose: Popping pink Rose Aqua, rich red Rose Grand Prix, bright pink Germini Caprice and rich, dark pink Germini Navy. Zantedeschia Dark Star gave an edgy structure to the bouquet while rambling purple Clematis, fluffy hot pink Statice and flowing Eucalyptus Parvifolia gave the wild, unstructured look. I wrapped the bouquet with dark pink velvet ribbon and secured it with vibrant pink pearl pins. The arrangements for the other parts of the shoot echoed the bouquet but with the addition of bright purple Callicarpa berries.”
Neon Wedding Cake – Claire’s Sweet Temptations
“The cake was inspired by the eclectic style and colour schemes on the venue, An Mor Hotel. It would be an easy look to adapt to suit a less bold colour scheme. Or would make an amazing statement piece and talking point. Colour is a great way to include your personality into your wedding.”
Neon Wedding Stationery – Claire’s Wedding Creations
“Matting and layering the different coloured card by using a shaped die achieved the look for the shoot. This style can be achieved across most weddings as colours can be adapted to ones relevant to the couples day. The shapes are also adaptable depending on individual tastes. This particular shoot has left me inspired to work outside of my comfort zone and has made me more confident in what i can achieve.”
Neon Wedding Catering – Jax’s Cakes and Bakes
“The catering for the shoot was themed around An Mors beautiful gin room. I used pink gin to create gin cupcakes, gin and tonic scones and even gin mousse in shot glasses. We used colours of pink and purple so I coated the strawberries with pink chocolate to match. We decided to use the open sandwiches instead of the traditional sandwiches to fit with the style of the venue. The open sandwiches included flavours such as beetroot hummus, cream cheese and salmon and avocado and egg. This style of catering would fit a wedding that would like something a little more classy and unusual than your normal afternoon tea”
