Winter Wonderland Wedding with Blue Wedding Dress and Fur Capelet
“This shoot was based a bit little by my own wedding inspiration, I had wanted to wear a blue tulle skirt but ultimately decided to stay traditional and wear white. When I found the skirt on Etsy I couldn’t pass it up and bought it for a future bridal shoot. As the vision for this bridal shoot came along, I decided on a snowy mountain setting, and we live so close to Mount Baker it was a beautiful and obvious choice!” Erika Appel

“For the hair I knew I wanted to do something down and side swept, but I wanted to jazz it up! So I started looking for hair pins, combs or an accessory I could use. I actually accidentally ran across the diamond twist pins in Rite Aid, and loved them! I scattered quite a few of those through out the side I had pinned back. It added the perfect ‘ frosted ‘ look!”
Make Up – Beauty by Elizabeth Marie
“For this look we wanted something soft with a bit of sultry flair. The model, Taylor, has the perfect canvas with her strong brows and beautiful skin, so we focused on adding a bit of glam while still letting her natural beauty shine through!”
“For her eye-shadow we stayed with neutral tones, deepening the outer corners with rich chocolate tones and smudging her liner so there were no strong lines. We added a set luscious lashes, going more for thickness rather than length. Drama without being distracting and fake.”
“We used an airbrush to apply her foundation, blush, contour, and highlight to really perfect her skin and make it glow without being thick and cakey. My favorite thing in the world as a makeup artist, is to play up a bride’s favorite features. We can go natural or we can go glam, but there is never a need for her natural beauty to compete with the makeup!”

“If you’ve ever thought of doing a winter wedding or elopement in the snow, don’t think twice, just do it! The snow makes everything more magical and pure. Snowy sessions are my kryptonite. When planning your winter wedding, chat with your photographer for the best place if you’re unsure where to go. They will probably tell you about some hidden gems”
Florals – Eidle Wilde
“The inspiration for the white a blue/green bouquet was the model’s skirt, youthful, romantic crisp and clean along with the fresh winter snow and a bit unexpected.”
“The inspiration for the evergreen wilde bouquet takes a twist, I love creating larger pieces when given the opportunity and sourced all the pieces in this bouquet from the last remaining flowers of the season from my own garden, it is wilde and untamed and a touch dark as the days in the Pacific Northwest winter can be but explodes to life when paired in the natural environment of the evergreen forest and adventurous spirit of the eloping bride.”
